Clinical laboratory specialists include both clinical laboratory technicians and clinical technologists. These professions are also refeered to as medical labritory technicians or medical technologists.

Both technicians and technologist perform laboratory work to identify, diagnose, and treat diseases.

Clinical labrortory technicians use microscopices, laboratory equipment, chemicals and computers to perform labritory procedures. they also collect blood specimens and procedures.
